New Year

The "holiday" season is officially over, and tomorrow I return to work. I can honestly say... I have no desire to return to work, but there are kids to discipline and a paycheck to be earned. I am glad to have a job in these uncertain times.

Spent a lot of time with family, new and old, over Christmas. Was glad to spend my New Year's Eve with Lisa and Annie. Have been working out consistently since slightly before vacation, and I'm hoping that returning to work won't drain me too much.

This year promises to be a big one for me. Aside from taking a new name, I hope to subtly reinvent myself. I had a pretty bland 2008, and would like 2009 to be more exciting.

Generally speaking, I usually don't write New Year's Resolutions, since I figure any time is as good as another to set goals. However, in the spirit of.... fun?... I decided why the hell not? I wrote some rough drafts, but wasn't all the crazy about what I wrote, so I'll just write whatever comes to mind and hope it works.

1. Stop drinking Hateorade. :)
2. Reign in my shopaholism. Shopaholicalism? Ehh, you get it. And. Be more selective & varied about what I purchase.
3. Speaking of which, reign in my alcoholism!
4. Continue on my path to Mr. Universe!! //flex.
5. Make Jason's kitchen my Smash Lab for new recipes at least once every month.

There are more things, but I'll have to add them later, as none come to mind right this minute. It's late, and I mourn the passing of vacation. Next event to look forward to: Hoang Christmas Exchange.
