Monkey slain. Mission accomplished.Sho has grown so much in the last few weeks!
Anywho, Jason and I took Mom and Dad out to Black Angus tonight to declare our intentions, and surprisingly, they took it well. We had a nice conversation, some yummy steaks, and it was strangely uncomplicated. We did a little preliminary scheduling, and then decided to go home and watch Letters from Iwo Jima together. It was really such a small step towards marriage, but so important, and I'm glad it went over well (dinner and intentions, not Letters).
Also, my ring arrived on Thursday, and Jason has been keeping it out of my sight. I want to see the shiny!! Can't wait to see the ring -- I would pretty much put off planning a wedding indefinitely. Too much money and stress involved to make it worth it. Planning and cooking good eats is so much more fun!
Having spent so much more time at Jason's new house, I have begun experimenting with foods. We always have a supply of fish, beef, and chicken on hand, and then some. I'm proud that everything I've made so far has been edible and tasty!

Some of my recent creations:
- Couscous w/ beef and spinach (featured here!)
- Baked ziti-ish pasta
- Chicken Alfredo w/ asparagus
- Grilled sandwiches and croissants... mm....
Ok. I've run out of energy, so till next time... who knows what will happen next!?
